Exporting .sbm with custom vertex normals (3dsmax)

Is it possible? Or am I just missing something. It keeps my smoothing groups, but any edits done though a editNormal modifier (even when collapsed) is lost.

Im using a script that allow me to area weight my normals based on smoothing groups (done with a editNormal modifier). Works fine with .fbx, but it would be nice if I could export as .sbm (since it allow me to include the cage).

Im ofcause exporting with normals included and smooth normals set to off in options.

Attached a image explaining (hopefully) =D. The two purple cylinders are before export, and the greens are as they look after being export/imported though .sbm - cheers!
